BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 6. Azerbaijan ranked
among the TOP-5 countries in the world in terms of internet
services according to the World Bank's Business Ready (B-READY) 2025 report, Trend reports.


According to the report, Azerbaijan has achieved notable success
in the utilities sector, particularly in internet services.


The country ranked 5th among 101 nations in terms of the
operational efficiency of internet services, with a score of 31.05
points. Additionally, Azerbaijan placed in the top 30 for
regulatory quality (17th place with 30.83 points) and
governance-transparency indicators (27th place with 29.17
points).


In the overall utilities ranking, Azerbaijan secured 25th place
with a score of 83.05 points, surpassing its regional counterparts.
It is worth noting that internet services emerged as the key
contributor to Azerbaijan’s strong performance in public
services.







The Business Ready assessment is based on an international
methodology that evaluates the quality of public services,
regulatory frameworks, and operational efficiency, covering 101
countries in the 2025 report.
