BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 6. Construction and
installation works on the Horadiz-Aghband railway line are nearing
completion as part of Azerbaijan’s transport infrastructure
development efforts, Azerbaijan Railways Closed Joint Stock Company
(CJSC) said in a statement to Trend.
According to the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, 85% of the design
work and 70% of the construction and installation work on the
railway line have been completed. The company noted that the main
railway line runs out for 110.4 km, while its total length,
counting in auxiliary lines, adds up to 140.6 km.
The project also envisages the construction of 8 stations and
594 engineering structures, including 40 bridges and 4 tunnels.
