Heavy snowfall has caused severe traffic congestion at the Russia-Georgia border, leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded.
Authorities note that traffic through the Upper Lars and Krestovy Pass is currently closed to all types of transport. Snow removal crews are working continuously to clear the roads, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Among those affected are Russian travelers, including families with children, who are unable to cross the border.
Officials have not provided a timeline for when the land crossing will reopen.
