A head-on collision between two trams on Antwerp’s left bank in Belgium left nine people injured.


The crash took place on Halewijnlaan, involving trams from lines 5 and 9, Caliber.Az reports, citing The Brussels Times.


Seven passengers and two drivers were hurt, with one driver sustaining serious injuries, though no life-threatening conditions have been reported, according to Het Laatste Nieuws.


Services on tram lines 3, 5, 9, and 15 are currently disrupted.
