The Armed Forces of Venezuela announced the neutralisation of nine aircraft involved in drug trafficking in the southern state of Amazonas, near the border with Brazil.


According to Venezuela’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, since 2012 a total of 422 planes linked to drug trafficking have been taken out of service in the country, including 31 aircraft destroyed so far in 2025, Caliber.Az reports per the country's foreign minister



The operations are part of Venezuela’s ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug flights along its borders.
