It is too early to discuss Azerbaijan’s participation in an international mission to stabilise the situation in the Gaza Strip, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, said in an interview with Nikkei.

Hajiyev noted that the United States had requested Azerbaijan’s involvement in the mission, but stressed that no final decision has been made, Caliber.Az reports via local media

He also emphasised that the UN Security Council resolution does not provide clear provisions regarding the mission’s rules of engagement, operational procedures, or mandate in Gaza.
