BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 13. The Men's World
Boxing Championships are currently taking place in Dubai, UAE,
Trend reports.
19-year-old Azerbaijani boxer Subhan Mamedov, competing in the
48 kg category, claimed the gold medal at the tournament. In the
final, Mamedov defeated Russian boxer Edmond Khudayan.
The Azerbaijani national team was represented by 11 boxers at
the championships. Earlier in the competition, Alfonso Dominguez
(92 kg) and Mahammad Abdullayev (+92 kg) secured bronze medals.
