At least 19 people have died and 16 others were injured after the collapse of two residential buildings in the Moroccan city of Fez early on December 10.
The tragic incident comes in the wake of recent protests over poverty and public services, which have erupted amid widespread concerns about poor living conditions in Morocco, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
Sixteen other people were wounded, with varying degrees of gravity.
Rescue operations are ongoing, with teams working to locate survivors and provide assistance to those affected.
Authorities have not yet released further details on the cause of the collapse, and search efforts continue amid growing concerns for anyone who may still be trapped under the rubble.
