Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze opened a meeting of central bank presidents and vice presidents from countries across the region, with representatives of J.P. Morgan, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank also taking part.

Speaking at the meeting, Kobakhidze highlighted Georgia’s economic growth and financial-sector development, saying the government is continuing efforts to develop capital markets and create a more competitive investment environment, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media

“Geopolitical tensions, shifts in trade and investment flows, financial market volatility, and rapid technological change are reshaping the global economic landscape. For countries like Georgia, which have open economies and strong regional and international ties, these developments further underscore the importance of a healthy economy and the ability to adapt to an increasingly complex environment,” Kobakhidze said.

He said Georgia had demonstrated strong economic resilience and maintained steady growth over the past five years.

Representatives of the central banks of around 15 countries participated in the roundtable.
