Iran and Oman have agreed on a plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

Araghchi made the remarks during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, a statement issued by China’s Foreign Ministry said.

“The Iranian side believes that the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran remains in force. Iran has already agreed with Oman on a plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and believes that the US side should faithfully fulfill all the commitments it has undertaken,” Araghchi said.
