The Asian Development Bank (ADB) plans to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), which is working to strengthen the country’s transport links, the ADY press service said after a meeting with members of the ADB Board of Directors.
The transport operator outlined that the parties discussed improvement of transport infrastructure, projects being implemented in the railway sector and prospects for future cooperation, Caliber.Az reports.
ADY representatives briefed the guests on the development of Azerbaijan’s railway system, modern solutions used in passenger transport and efforts to improve the quality of services.
Officials noted that ADY is consistently working to strengthen the country’s transport links, implement sustainable and digital transport solutions, and provide passengers with convenient and safe services.
Following the meeting, the ADB Board members travelled to Ganja by train.
The visit was particularly significant in terms of presenting Azerbaijan’s railway infrastructure and modern approaches to passenger transport to international partners.
