Muslim religious leaders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) have praised Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s efforts to advance interfaith dialogue, expressing gratitude for his support in organizing major religious and academic events in Baku.
In an appeal to Aliyev, the religious leaders highlighted his support for the seventh meeting of OTS Muslim religious leaders and the first international scientific and practical conference dedicated to prominent Azerbaijani scholar and thinker Sheikh Seyid Yahya Bakuvi, Caliber.Az reports.
The religious leaders also praised Azerbaijan’s model of multiculturalism and tolerance, as well as its role in promoting interfaith understanding and intercivilizational cooperation. They emphasized the importance of Aliyev’s initiatives aimed at advancing interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
The authors highlighted Azerbaijan’s achievements, including reconstruction and development efforts in Karabakh, the “Great Return” process, and the strengthening of spiritual solidarity with the countries of the Turkic world.
