Iran and Oman have finalized an understanding on providing maritime navigation routes in line with their rights as coastal states and their sovereignty, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said during a press conference.
Speaking about Yemen, Baghaei stressed that the country’s problems have deep-rooted causes and that Iran is ready to engage in dialogue to help resolve them. He also stressed that Yemen makes its own decisions and that the Yemeni people have demonstrated their desire for freedom.
“There is only one winner from the continuation of the war in the region between Muslim countries — Israel,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
Baghaei also stated that Yemen has been under a severe siege for the past 12 years and has faced attacks by the United States and Israel over the last three years.
