Foreign ministry: Russia would quickly defeat Poland

Russia would quickly defeat Poland if the two countries went to war, according to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

Zakharova was responding to comments by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, who said Poland would be able to defeat Russia quickly if Moscow attacked, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

She dismissed Sikorski’s remarks as “Russophobia of the brain” in a post on Telegram.

Sikorski also called for NATO to strengthen its military exercises near Russia’s Kaliningrad Region.

The Polish foreign minister said the exercises should be “aggressive” and create uncertainty for the Russian leadership about NATO’s next moves.
