Slovakia is preparing to launch new projects in Karabakh, including a planned socially oriented Forest Park initiative in Aghdam, Slovak Ambassador to Azerbaijan Elchin Gasimov has said.

Gasimov told local media this during a visit to the Karabakh region as part of a delegation of foreign diplomats.

He said Slovakia is currently implementing a “Smart Village” project in Aghdam.

“We are now planning another project, also in Aghdam — Forest Park. It will be a more socially oriented programme,” the diplomat said.

He added that Slovakia is also interested in co-operation in agriculture in Karabakh.

“We are interested in various agricultural programmes specifically in Karabakh. We would like to participate through our companies and bring our experience and know-how to this sector,” Gasimov said.
