Eastern Poland will be placed under a temporary restricted airspace zone from September 10 to December 9, 2026, as authorities seek to strengthen the operation of the country’s military air defence system.
The zone, designated EP R134, will extend from ground level to flight level FL95, or approximately 3 kilometres in altitude, Poland’s Armed Forces Operational Command stated.
The command stressed that the restrictions will not affect commercial passenger flights operating at higher altitudes.
“Thus, the zone does not affect passenger aircraft flying at higher altitudes,” the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command said.
The temporary restrictions are intended to facilitate more effective operation of Poland’s military air defence system in the eastern part of the country.
