Ukraine and its allies, including the United States, will soon give fresh impetus to diplomatic efforts to end Russia’s war, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has said.

Speaking to journalists, Sybiha said diplomacy should play an increasingly active role in efforts to achieve peace and end what he described as Russian aggression, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.

He said it was unrealistic to achieve this without US involvement, citing geopolitical realities.

Sybiha also confirmed that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had recently spoken with the US negotiating team and said regular contact was continuing.

“There have been no holidays or pauses in Ukraine – we are fighting for our land and for a just peace,” he said.

He added that he expected “new momentum” in peace efforts as an active political and diplomatic phase returned to many world capitals.

“Watch the news,” Sybiha said.
