Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has approved a new composition of the country’s government, with four appointments made to the Cabinet.
Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Kazakhstan’s former ambassador to Austria and permanent representative to international organisations in Vienna, is set to take over as foreign minister, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.
The Ministry of Culture and Information will be headed by Arman Kyrykbayev, who has served as the presidential aide for domestic policy and communications since February 2025.
The ecology and natural resources portfolio has gone to Alibek Kuantyrov, who served as deputy foreign minister until September 3, 2026.
Meanwhile, Murat Mukhanov will lead the Ministry of Emergency Situations, having headed the ministry’s administrative office since June 9, 2026.
