Android maintained a dominant position in Azerbaijan’s mobile operating system market in August, accounting for 82.23% of the market.


Android’s share declined by 3.36 percentage points from July but increased by 1.55 percentage points compared with August 2025, Caliber.Az reports via local media.


Meanwhile, Apple’s iOS accounted for 17.75% of Azerbaijan’s mobile device market. Its share rose by 3.38 percentage points month-on-month, although it declined by 0.77 percentage points year-on-year.


Android also remained the leading operating system in Azerbaijan’s tablet market, with an 86.08% share in August. This represented a 1.96-percentage-point decrease from July, but a substantial 17.89-percentage-point increase from a year earlier.


iOS held 13.75% of the tablet market, up 2 percentage points month-on-month. However, its share fell by 17.99 percentage points year-on-year, representing a decline of more than twofold.
