Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has congratulated Azerbaijan’s First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva on her birthday, praising her public services and contribution to strengthening ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.


In a congratulatory letter addressed to Aliyeva, Mirziyoyev expressed his “deep respect and sincere admiration” for her activities in support of the Azerbaijani people, particularly in education, science, culture and the preservation of the country’s historical heritage, Azerbaijan’s official news agency reports.


“In Uzbekistan, you are held in special regard and esteem, and your constant and attentive efforts to deepen Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan relations are highly appreciated,” Mirziyoyev said.


He also highlighted the warm relations between the two countries’ families, describing them as a reflection of the “true ties of brotherhood” between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.


The Uzbek president said he was confident that Aliyeva’s personal involvement would continue to strengthen humanitarian and cultural cooperation, bring the two peoples closer and help preserve their shared heritage for future generations.


Mirziyoyev concluded by wishing Aliyeva good health, energy, happiness and prosperity, while expressing hopes for peace and sustainable progress for the people of Azerbaijan.
