The Azerbaijan Institute of Theology and the Moscow Islamic Institute are planning new joint projects in the field of humanitarian cooperation, Damir Mukhetdinov, First Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia and head of the Medina publishing house, has said.
He noted that cooperation between the two institutes includes joint translations and publications, as well as student exchanges, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
"We have many such projects planned in the humanitarian sphere, including translations and publications. We are continuing this cooperation and also developing student exchanges between our educational institutions," Mukhetdinov stressed.
In his words, the publication of the book The History of Derbent was one of the joint projects.
"This was a joint project of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology and the Moscow Islamic Institute," he added.
According to Mukhetdinov, the parties also cooperate with the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre.
