China is ready to strengthen cooperation with other countries in artificial intelligence and robotics, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said, according to TASS.

“We are ready to continue working with all countries in such cutting-edge areas as artificial intelligence and intelligent systems, so that ‘Made in China’ and ‘Created in China’ brands can truly become a driving force for shared development,” Lin said at a briefing while commenting on prospects for China’s cooperation with other countries in robotics.

The Chinese diplomat said Beijing intends to “unlock the potential for cooperation” in advanced technologies by jointly developing standards and exploring markets, while ensuring that “the benefits of innovation bring greater benefits to humanity as a whole.”

Lin said China’s successful development of these technologies had been made possible by cooperation among manufacturers, algorithm development teams and long-term, stable government support.

According to him, China has consistently sought openness in the process of implementing innovations, rather than “artificially imposing restrictions and isolation.”
