Former Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has been summoned to a meeting of a temporary investigative commission of the Verkhovna Rada on August 31, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko said.

According to Honcharenko, the commission wants Fedorov to provide explanations and testimony concerning the “Midas” operation by Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), aimed at uncovering a major corruption scheme in the energy sector allegedly headed by Timur Mindich, Tass reports.

“The commission has a great many questions for Mr Fedorov. We would like to get answers to them,” Honcharenko said.
