Azerbaijani officials are relocating a total of 19 families comprising 88 people to Khojavend, 13 families comprising 61 people to Guzeykhirman, and 11 families comprising 42 people to the Girmizi Bazar settlement as part of the country's ongoing resettlement programme for internally displaced persons (IDPs).
The “Great Return” of Azerbaijanis to territories liberated from occupation continues in line with an order by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Caliber.Az reports.
Those returning to their ancestral lands expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev, and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for their comprehensive state support.
They also thanked the valiant Azerbaijani Army and the servicemen who liberated the territories from occupation, and paid tribute to the memory of the martyrs who were killed during the fighting.
The State Committee for Refugee and Internally Displaced Persons Affairs said relocating residents previously lived temporarily in various parts of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums and administrative buildings.
