Russian forces struck a dry cargo vessel carrying what Moscow said was a shipment intended for the Ukrainian military during overnight strikes on the port of Yuzhny, Russia’s Defence Ministry said on Tuesday, August 25.
The ministry said the overnight strikes also targeted port infrastructure. According to the Russian military, the attacks were carried out using unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Defence Ministry did not provide details about the vessel, the cargo it was allegedly carrying or the extent of the damage.
