“AzInTelecom” LLC, a company within AZCON Holding, has become a
member of FIRST (Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams), an
international cybersecurity organization.
As a result, “AzInTelecom” has been recognized by FIRST as the
sectoral Computer Incident Response Center for Azerbaijan’s
transport sector and has been granted “Transport CERT” team status.
As part of the membership process, the team’s activities were
assessed in accordance with the “SIM3” model, and its compliance
with international standards was confirmed based on an on-site
assessment.
This status enables “AzInTelecom” to promptly neutralize
cyberattacks originating from abroad in cooperation with
international partners, exchange cyber threat intelligence via the
MISP platform, take part in the organization’s voting process, and
participate in its working groups.
The acceptance of “AzInTelecom” as a FIRST member confirms that
the company operates in accordance with international standards in
the field of cybersecurity and is recognized as a trusted partner
by the global cybersecurity community. At the same time, it enables
the company to be represented on the same global platform as such
world-leading companies as “Google”, “Amazon”, “Microsoft”,
“Apple”, “Cisco” and “CrowdStrike”, contributing to strengthening
cyber resilience in the transport sector and developing
institutional capabilities.
It should be noted that “AzInTelecom” develops its activities in
line with the Information Security and Cybersecurity Strategy of
the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023–2027, continuously
strengthening its technological capabilities. The company will
continue contributing to further strengthening the country’s
digital security by expanding its cybersecurity capabilities and
international partnerships.
