BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. Kyrgyzstan is
building social facilities, roads, schools, airports, sports and
tourism infrastructure across the country.
This was announced in a statement published by the press service
of the Kyrgyz President, citing President Sadyr Zhaparov’s remarks
in Bishkek during the opening ceremony of the Ak-Keme hotel on
August 24.
"Today, Kyrgyzstan is entering a new stage of development.
Across the country, we are building social facilities, roads,
schools, airports, sports and tourism infrastructure, while also
reviving previously idle facilities," the press service said,
citing the President.
Furthermore, according to the press service, Zhaparov emphasized
that a country’s development is measured not only by the
construction of new buildings.
"Every asset owned by the state must operate efficiently,
generate revenue for the economy, create jobs and serve the people.
The renovation of Ak-Keme today is a clear example of this approach
by the state.
When the state creates favorable conditions for investors, while
the private sector contributes its funds, expertise and management
capabilities, the result is modern and competitive facilities," the
president noted.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan is currently undergoing a broad
development drive focused on modernizing infrastructure and making
more effective use of state-owned assets.
The government is implementing projects in the social,
transport, sports and tourism sectors, while also working to revive
previously idle facilities. The authorities have emphasized
cooperation with the private sector and attracting investment as
key tools for developing infrastructure and creating modern,
competitive facilities.
The reconstruction of the Ak-Keme hotel in Bishkek was presented
as an example of this approach, combining state assets with private
investment and management expertise.
