The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) carried out a strike yesterday, August 23, in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza targeting a commander of the Nukhba unit, part of the military wing of the Hamas organisation.

The militant took part in the October 7 attack and incursion into Israeli territory, Caliber.Az reports, citing the IDF.

“Throughout the war, the terrorist advanced terror attacks against IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip.

IDF troops under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat,” the army said.
