BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Kyrgyzstan
strengthens measures to ensure domestic fuel supply.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of
Ministers, citing an instruction from Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev
to the relevant authorities to ensure uninterrupted supplies of
petroleum products to the domestic market.
"Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev
instructed officials to ensure an uninterrupted supply of petroleum
products to the country, strengthen monitoring of the situation,
intensify cooperation with every company operating in the petroleum
products market, conclude new import agreements, address logistics
issues at the state border, and take necessary measures promptly,"
the statement reads.
The instruction was issued during a regular meeting on measures
to ensure the country's domestic market is supplied with fuel and
lubricants, the Cabinet of Ministers' press service reported.
During the meeting, officials provided an overview of the
current situation in the oil market across Central Asian countries
and discussed measures to ensure the domestic supply of petroleum
products.
The meeting addressed issues related to fuel imports, the
formation of necessary reserves, and state subsidies for companies
engaged in the sale of petroleum products.
Kasymaliev instructed officials to strengthen market monitoring,
intensify cooperation with companies operating in the petroleum
products sector, conclude new import agreements, and address
logistics issues at the state border.
He also called for timely measures to prevent disruptions in the
supply of petroleum products to the domestic market.
Kyrgyzstan cooperates with Russia, Belarus, China and Uzbekistan
to meet domestic demand for fuel and lubricants.
The country's average annual demand for petroleum products
exceeds 1.5 million tons.
