BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 15. Uzbekistan and
South Korea have signed an agreement to launch a grant project
aimed at upgrading Uzbekistan’s citizen appeals system through
artificial intelligence.
This was reflected in the statement by the Ministry of Digital
Technologies of Uzbekistan.
The agreement was signed by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Digital
Technologies, South Korea’s National Information Society Agency
(NIA) and UZINFOCOM, according to the Uzbek ministry.
Under the project, the sides will develop and implement AI-based
solutions to analyze and manage citizen appeals submitted to
government agencies. The initiative will also include the
preparation of a feasibility study for a pilot launch of the
upgraded system in Uzbekistan.
The project is designed to improve how government institutions
process citizen requests by using AI to analyze incoming appeals,
support their management and potentially make responses and
administrative processes more efficient.
The cooperation with NIA builds on the broader technological
partnership between Uzbekistan and South Korea, particularly in
digital government and artificial intelligence.
The Uzbek Ministry of Digital Technologies said the project
would allow Uzbekistan to make greater use of South Korea’s
experience in developing digital public administration and AI-based
government solutions.
The initiative also comes ahead of Uzbekistan’s 35th anniversary
of independence and forms part of the country’s broader digital
transformation efforts.
“The project will contribute to the development of modern
digital government, the wider adoption of advanced technologies and
the creation of more convenient services for citizens,” the
ministry said.
The initiative reflects Uzbekistan’s growing focus on applying
artificial intelligence to public administration and creating new
mechanisms for interaction between government institutions and the
population.
The ministry said it would continue expanding international
cooperation to improve the efficiency of public administration
through AI and other advanced digital technologies.
