BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14. Tajikistan and
Chinese companies discussed opportunities to expand investment
cooperation in the energy and water resources sectors.


This was reflected in the statement by Tajikistan's Ministry of
Energy and Water Resources following a meeting between Minister
Daler Juma and Chen Xiang, president of YEMA GROUP CO., LTD, and
representatives of Sichuan Hebang Investment Group Co., Ltd., China
Feihe Limited, Zhejiang ZHINK Group Co., Ltd. and Beijing Century
Beking Furniture Co., Ltd., on August 12 in Dushanbe.


According to the ministry, during the meeting, Juma presented
the Chinese delegation with information on Tajikistan’s investment
opportunities, energy potential, and water resources, according to
the Tajik side.


The minister emphasized the importance of attracting foreign
investment and advanced technologies to ensure the sustainable
development of the country’s energy and water sectors and support
the implementation of major infrastructure projects.


“Tajikistan is ready to strengthen cooperation with Chinese
partners and continue dialogue on attracting investment into
priority sectors of the energy and water resources industries,” the
ministry said.







The discussions focused on opportunities for developing
cooperation between Tajikistan and Chinese companies, particularly
in areas where investment and technological expertise could
contribute to infrastructure development.


The Tajik side highlighted the country’s significant energy and
water resources potential as key areas for future investment and
economic cooperation.


The meeting comes as Tajikistan seeks to attract greater foreign
investment and modern technologies to support the development of
strategic infrastructure and strengthen the capacity of its energy
and water sectors.


The sides confirmed their readiness to deepen cooperation and
maintain dialogue on potential investment projects in priority
areas.
