Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Armenia is expected to begin exporting goods to Azerbaijan in the near future, signaling progress toward the development of bilateral trade.
Speaking at a briefing following a government meeting, Pashinyan said mutual trade remains on the agenda and expressed confidence that the first Armenian exports to Azerbaijan would take place soon.
“The agenda of mutual trade exists. I am confident that there will be exports toward Azerbaijan in the near future,” he said.
Pashinyan made the remarks while responding to a question about the absence of Armenian exports to Azerbaijan despite the lifting of trade restrictions between the two countries.
