BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. Tajikistan and Oman
have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral
relations during high-level diplomatic talks in Muscat,
underscoring their shared interest in expanding political dialogue
and deepening cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
This was reflected in the statement by the Tajik MFA following a
meeting between Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Zubaidullo
Zubaidzoda, and Oman's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political
Affairs, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy on August 6.
According to the Tajik Foreign Ministry, the sides exchanged
views on key issues on the bilateral agenda and reviewed the
current state and prospects of relations between Tajikistan and
Oman. The meeting forms part of ongoing diplomatic engagement aimed
at maintaining regular political consultations and identifying new
opportunities for cooperation.
"The parties exchanged views on current issues related to the
bilateral agenda between Tajikistan and Oman," the Tajik Foreign
Ministry said following the meeting.
Although no agreements or memorandums were announced, the talks
reflected the two countries' intention to continue strengthening
ties through sustained diplomatic contacts.
Relations between Tajikistan and Oman have gradually expanded in
recent years, with both countries expressing interest in enhancing
cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, culture, and education,
alongside broader political engagement. Oman is viewed as a
potential partner for Tajikistan in fostering closer economic links
with the Gulf region, while Tajikistan seeks to diversify its
international partnerships and attract new investment.
The talks concluded with both sides reaffirming their readiness
to continue working together to further develop Tajik-Omani
relations and promote mutually beneficial cooperation in areas of
shared interest.
