BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. Armenia transferred
about $319 million to the general budget of customs duties of the
Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), while the volume of funds
distributed to the country amounted to nearly $175 million in
2025.


This was announced by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at
an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.


According to Pashinyan, these figures show Armenia's fulfillment
of its obligations within the EAEU and demonstrate that the
country's participation in the union is based not on unilateral
benefits, but on mutual commitments.


"Armenia contributed significantly more funds to the Union's
common budget than it received, which is direct evidence of our
responsible position and conscientious fulfillment of our
obligations within the EAEU," the prime minister noted.


He also mentioned figures for Armenia's mutual trade with EAEU
member states.


By the end of 2025, Armenia's imports from the Union countries
amounted to approximately $5 billion, while Armenian exports to the
markets of EAEU member states reached approximately $3.2
billion.


Pashinyan emphasized that these data demonstrate the importance
of the EAEU common market for the Armenian economy.







"These figures demonstrate that Armenia is not only a
participant of the EAEU common market, but also a significant
consumer of goods and services produced in the Union member
states," he stated.


At the same time, the prime minister noted that the development
of integration within the EAEU should be based on equal conditions
for all participants.


Earlier during the meeting, Pashinyan stated the need to remove
barriers that impede the full functioning of the Union’s common
market, including restrictions and administrative measures that may
reduce the predictability of business conditions.


He emphasized that Armenia provides equal and non-discriminatory
conditions for the activities of companies of all EAEU member
states and considers it necessary to apply a similar approach
throughout the territory of the Union.


According to Pashinyan, the further development of the EAEU
requires not only the discussion of new initiatives, but also the
practical implementation of decisions already taken, increasing the
efficiency of the Union’s institutions and strengthening trust
between member states.
