BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 6. Uzbekistan's
Fergana region and Afghan business leaders agreed to accelerate
joint investment projects and expand trade following talks aimed at
advancing agreements reached during a recent Uzbek delegation's
visit to Afghanistan.

This was reflected in the statement by the Fergana Regional
Administration.

Fergana Governor Khayrullo Bozorov met with Abdul Hamid Anyuri,
director of Emerald Diamond Trading, Kam Air Director Atilla Azimi,
Tojmahal Petroleum Director Abdul Latif Nawruzi and their regional
partners to discuss practical steps for strengthening economic
cooperation.

The meeting followed the July 26-27 visit of a Fergana
delegation to Afghanistan, during which officials and business
representatives held talks in Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif and opened
Fergana Trade Houses in both cities to promote commercial ties.
"The parties agreed to accelerate the implementation of joint
investment projects, increase bilateral trade and elevate
cooperation to a new level," the regional administration said in a
statement.

The discussions focused on translating the agreements reached
during the Afghanistan visit into concrete projects, identifying
new investment opportunities and expanding bilateral trade. Afghan
business representatives expressed interest in cooperating with
Fergana companies in trade, agriculture, aviation, energy and
logistics, presenting new initiatives in each of these sectors.

Bozorov reaffirmed Fergana's commitment to strengthening
Uzbekistan-Afghanistan economic relations, saying the regional
administration is prepared to support the implementation of joint
projects and facilitate closer business cooperation.

According to the administration, the meeting reflects the
growing momentum in economic engagement between Uzbekistan and
Afghanistan as both sides seek to expand cross-border trade,
attract investment and develop new commercial partnerships. The
talks build on Uzbekistan's broader strategy of strengthening
economic connectivity with Afghanistan through increased trade,
investment and business-to-business cooperation while supporting
regional economic integration.
