Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he has approved new operations by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) aimed at countering Russian aggression, while also authorising additional measures to remove officials who are not acting in the country's interests.
In a post on X, Zelenskyy said he had received a briefing on the SSU's latest operations and approved new initiatives following a report from Oleksandr Poklad on the agency's priorities for August, Caliber.Az reports.
"I received a report on our operations to counter Russian aggression. The Security Service of Ukraine has delivered strong results, and today I approved new operations. Oleksandr Poklad briefed on the Service’s priorities for August," Zelenskyy wrote.
The president said he had also authorised further steps for the head of the SSU to identify and remove personnel who "work for themselves rather than for Ukraine," adding that he appreciated the efforts of those within the service who were genuinely protecting the country and its people.
