Chelsea have completed the signing of England’s midfielder Jordan Henderson on a free transfer, with the 36-year-old agreeing a deal until 2028, the Premier League club has announced.

He will join Chelsea after his contract with Brentford expires, Caliber.Az reports, citing the club’s website.

The veteran midfielder made 34 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring one goal and providing three assists.

Before joining Chelsea, Henderson played for Ajax, Saudi club Al-Ettifaq, Sunderland, Coventry City and Liverpool, where he won both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

At the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Henderson came off the bench in England's 2-0 group-stage victory over Panama.
