Russia's Defence Ministry said its armed forces carried out overnight strikes on Ukrainian port infrastructure, naval assets and vessels allegedly used to support Ukraine's military operations.
According to the ministry, the attacks were conducted on the evening of August 3 using precision-guided ground-based weapons and drones, Caliber.Az reports.
The ministry said the strikes targeted the Black Sea Automotive Components Plant and a port terminal in Chornomorsk, claiming the facilities were being used to repair military vehicles and store ammunition and fuel for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russia also said it struck a dry cargo ship carrying military supplies in the port of Mykolaiv and another cargo vessel unloading military equipment in the port of Yuzhny.
In addition, the ministry claimed that two dry cargo ships transporting weapons and military equipment to Ukrainian ports were destroyed in the strait south of Odesa.
