Legendary actor Jackie Chan has arrived in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, where filming has begun for several scenes of the international adventure film Armour of God 4: Ultimatum, according to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Baku.

The globally renowned actor is expected to spend around 10 days in the Azerbaijani capital as production continues, Caliber.Az reports per local media

Kazakhstan is serving as the film's primary shooting location, with filming already completed in the Mangystau and Almaty regions, as well as the city of Almaty. Azerbaijan was chosen as the project's second filming location at the proposal of the Kazakh side.

The film is being produced by Kazakhstan's Salem Entertainment. The project's producer is the company's founder, Rustem Omarov, while the director is Kazakh filmmaker and stunt coordinator Robert Kun, whose appointment was personally approved by Jackie Chan. The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan is supporting the production in Baku.

Several of Baku's best-known landmarks will appear in the film, including Icherisheher (the Old City), Highland Park, the Baku Funicular, the Green Theatre and Fountain Square.

The production is a joint Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan project and is among the largest international film productions undertaken in Central Asia and the South Caucasus in recent years. Organisers say the collaboration reflects growing regional cooperation in the film industry while providing an opportunity to showcase both countries' cultural heritage and tourism potential to global audiences.

Armour of God 4: Ultimatum marks Jackie Chan's return to the iconic franchise after 13 years, reprising his role as the legendary adventurer known as the "Asian Hawk." The film is scheduled for release in 2027.
