BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3. More than 92% of
applications submitted for services provided by Azerbaijan’s
Ministry of Economy in January-June 2026 were made through
electronic channels.
According to the ministry, more than 13 million applications
were registered for its services during the reporting period, with
electronic services accounting for 92.2% of the total.
Currently, the Ministry of Economy provides 289 services to
citizens, including entrepreneurs, within its areas of activity, of
which 181 services (62.6%) have been digitized.
Applications for the ministry’s electronic services can be
submitted through the official websites www.economy.gov.az and www.lisenziya.gov.az, as well as through
electronic service sections available on the websites of the
ministry’s structural units and subordinate organizations.
Through these online platforms, entrepreneurs can obtain
necessary economic and legal information and apply for certain
legally binding documents related to business activities, including
licenses and notifications on the registration of grant agreements
(decisions) involving commercial entities and public legal
entities.
The service for issuing licenses to entrepreneurs has been fully
digitized. Business representatives can apply electronically to the
Ministry of Economy for licenses related to relevant types of
activities through the “Licenses and Permits” portal. Applications
can also be submitted through ASAN service centers and SME
Houses.
In addition, the Ministry of Economy’s Electronic Services
Portal functions as a one-stop platform, enabling users to access
services provided by the ministry’s structural units and
subordinate organizations through a personal account. The portal
also allows users to track the processing status of their
applications and provide feedback on received services.
The Ministry of Economy continues work on expanding digital
services, automating data exchange between information systems,
introducing innovative solutions and optimizing procedures in order
to improve the efficiency of public services and increase user
satisfaction.
