A landmine explosion occurred on August 3 in the village of Chardagly in Azerbaijan's Aghdara district, liberated from occupation, leaving two humanitarian deminers injured.
The incident took place during a humanitarian demining operation when NGO employee Alzamin Surkhayli (born in 1994) triggered an anti-personnel mine, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA).
Surkhayli sustained injuries to his right leg. Another deminer, Fuzuli Mirzayev (born in 1998), was also injured in the blast.
Both men were evacuated to the district's central hospital, where they are reported to be in satisfactory condition.
