BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3. Uzbekistan's state
energy company Uzbekneftegaz and China's Jereh Group discussed
expanding cooperation on drilling equipment and reviewed plans to
supply cementing units for oil and gas well construction.
This was reflected in the statement by the Uzbekneftgaz.
The talks took place during a working visit to China by a
delegation led by Uzbekneftegaz Chairman Abdugani Sanginov.
The parties reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation,
ongoing joint projects and opportunities to expand their long-term
partnership in the oil and gas sector.
"The parties discussed prospects for further developing
cooperation on mutually beneficial terms, including the possible
supply of modern cementing units for drilling operations,"
Uzbekneftegaz said in a statement.
According to the company, particular attention was given to
Uzbekneftegaz's program to expand drilling activities as part of
efforts to increase exploration and production capacity.
In this context, the two sides discussed the potential
procurement of cementing units used in the construction of
exploration and production wells. They also exchanged views on
Jereh Group's commercial proposals and possible supply
arrangements.
The sides reviewed options for optimizing the company's
proposals, taking into account the long-standing partnership
between Uzbekneftegaz and Jereh Group, which has resulted in a
number of agreements in recent years aimed at strengthening the
technical capabilities of Uzbekistan's oil and gas industry.
The meeting reflects Uzbekneftegaz's broader efforts to
modernize its drilling operations and expand cooperation with
international equipment manufacturers as Uzbekistan seeks to
increase hydrocarbon production and improve the efficiency of oil
and gas field development.
