BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 2. The official
trailer for the feature film 44, dedicated to the heroism of the
Azerbaijani people during the Patriotic War, has been unveiled,
Trend reports.
The film is intended to preserve the historical memory of the
events of the 44-day war and foster patriotism among the younger
generation.
44 is a large-scale war drama about heroism, love, and the
strength of the human spirit, told through the eyes of a military
cadet. At the heart of the story are the lives of people who stood
up to defend their homeland at a decisive moment. Through the story
of Azerbaijan's Special Forces soldiers, the film conveys the
courage, unwavering resolve, and self-sacrifice of the generation
that defended the country's independence and territorial
integrity.
The film's main characters are Special Forces officer Rashad
Khalilov, Turkish orthopedic surgeon Zeynep Ozdemir, who works in
Azerbaijan, and Colonel Ramazan Karimov, commander of a Special
Forces unit.
44 is more than just a war film. It is the story of a nation
united by love for its homeland, a nation that never lost faith in
victory and fought until the very end to liberate its lands.
The film has become one of the largest cinematic projects in
Azerbaijan's history. It stands out for its unprecedented
production scale for the national film industry, the number of
specialists involved, the wide geography of filming locations, the
volume of technical resources used, and the level of international
cooperation.
Alongside Azerbaijani actors, the film features renowned Turkish
actress Özge Gürel. Before filming began, the entire cast underwent
special military tactical training at the Special Forces training
base.
Filming took place in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well
as in Aghdam, Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Goranboy, Ganja, Khojavend, Khizi,
Lerik, and Shusha.
