An employee of a private company involved in humanitarian demining operations was injured in a mine explosion in Azerbaijan's Khojavand district, the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) said.
According to the agency, on August 2, Ahad Ahadov, born in 1985, was carrying out his duties in territory liberated from occupation when he triggered an anti-personnel mine. He sustained injuries of varying severity in the blast, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The injured worker was evacuated to the Khojavand District Central Hospital and is in satisfactory condition.
