The U.S. Embassy in Jordan has urged American citizens to consider departing the Middle East as regional tensions escalate, highlighting mounting security risks.
In its advisory, the embassy warned U.S. nationals to avoid visiting military installations and cautioned that the threat environment includes potential missile strikes, drone attacks, disruptions to commercial air travel, and rapidly changing security conditions.
The guidance follows a decision by the U.S. State Department to raise its travel advisory level for Jordan, citing risks associated with regional escalation and possible interruptions to airspace operations.
Officials stressed that the situation remains volatile and could evolve unpredictably.
