Lithuania will summon a Russian diplomatic representative after its embassy building in Kyiv was damaged during a night-time attack on the Ukrainian capital, Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys said.
“During last night’s russian attacks on Kyiv, Lithuania’s Embassy was also damaged. Missiles struck just meters from the Embassy. Fortunately, our staff did not suffer. Today, the Lithuanian MFA will summon russia’s representative in Vilnius,” Budrys wrote on social media platform X (the orthography preserved - ed.).
He described Russia’s continued strikes on Ukraine as a “campaign of terror,” adding that Moscow has shown no willingness to halt hostilities or engage in negotiations.
Budrys said the response from Western countries should be to intensify pressure on Russia through additional sanctions and increased support for Ukraine.
