At least 20 people were killed and 38 others injured in a major road accident involving a passenger bus in northern Algeria, authorities said.


The crash occurred on Friday, July 31, in Boumerdès province, approximately 55 kilometres east of the capital, Algiers, according to the country’s Civil Defence Department, cited by Xinhua.


Emergency services responded to the scene following the incident, which resulted in significant casualties. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and an investigation is underway.
