The multinational tactical exercise "Zulfiqar 2026" has concluded in Jordan, bringing together special forces from Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Türkiye, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The exercise's Distinguished Visitors Day was attended by Jordan's Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, who observed the participating forces during the event, Caliber.Az reports per the Defence Ministry.
According to the ministry, the primary objectives of the exercise were to improve interoperability among the participating countries' special operations forces, enhance their professional knowledge and operational capabilities, and promote the exchange of operational experience.
The final phase of the exercise was observed by the Commander of the Azerbaijan Special Forces, Major General Alakbar Jahangirov, together with the exercise leadership. Jahangirov praised the professionalism and high level of preparedness demonstrated by the Azerbaijani special forces personnel.
