Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa held separate phone calls with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss bilateral ties and the latest developments in the region.
According to Syria's state news agency SANA, the conversations focused on strengthening relations as well as recent regional events. The leaders stressed the importance of supporting efforts aimed at reducing tensions and enhancing security and stability across the region.
During the talks, al-Sharaa also condemned attacks by Iran-backed armed groups in Iraq on Saudi Arabian oil facilities, SANA reported.
