Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah held talks with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, during an official visit to Islamabad on July 29, Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry said.
The meeting focused on the longstanding relations between Kuwait and Pakistan, with both sides emphasising the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation and increasing coordination across various areas, particularly defence and security.
The officials highlighted the need to further develop ties in a way that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and their peoples.
The talks also covered regional developments, including efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen security and stability in the region.
Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in supporting regional security and stability, according to the ministry.
